1 Corinthians 5:7-8
Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch – as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.
Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old bread leavened with malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
The feast on the sacrificial event of the Passover lamb should not be celebrated as what people have accustomed to do – celebration based only on traditions and beliefs. But rather be celebrated with humility and submission in the Word of God. He did not asked to celebrate it with rabbits and eggs, but He wanted us to celebrate it through meditation in the pureness of the message of the atonement of Jesus on the Cross of the Calvary.
Celebrate Easter Sunday on the truth that Jesus came even if He was accused, mocked, stripped, stricken and crucified. He bore our sins through dying on the Cross. But is risen and alive for us to be saved.
Easter is a celebration of having access to eternal life – life that comes not from rabbits and eggs and man-made gods but only from Jesus, the Passover Lamb of God.
